Darren R. Carpizo, M.D., Ph.D. Scientific Advisor
Dr. Carpizo is a surgeon scientist that specializes in the management of patients with pancreatic cancer. He has more than 20 years of experience in cancer research including six years of experience in p53 research under the mentorship of Dr. Arnold Levine. He studies cancer biology with an emphasis on developmental therapeutics. He also has experience creating and running investigated initiated clinical trials. During His junior and mid-level faculty years the focus of his research was on developing a new class of small molecule mutant p53 reactivators called Zinc Metallochaperones (ZMCs).
